What are product labels?

Product labels are custom printed stickers or roll labels used to brand, identify and decorate products and packaging. They are commonly used on jars, bottles, boxes, bags, candles, cosmetics, food products and retail packaging.
 

What is the best label material for product packaging?

The best label material depends on the product surface, storage conditions and finish you want. Paper labels suit dry goods, boxes, bags and indoor packaging. Vinyl labels are better for moisture, handling and curved surfaces. BOPP roll labels suit larger product runs, bottles, jars, food products and cosmetics.

Are paper product labels waterproof?

No. Paper product labels are best for dry goods, boxes, bags, jars and indoor packaging where water resistance is not required. For moisture, refrigeration or outdoor exposure, vinyl or BOPP labels are usually a better option.
 

Can product labels be printed same day?

Paper and Vinyl Labels have same day or express turnaround options when print-ready artwork is supplied and approved before cut-off. Turnaround depends on the label material, quantity, shape, finish and production requirements.
 

What labels should I use for jars and bottles?

For our customers, we generally find they love the vinyl air-release range for hand applications as they can be peeled back and reapplied if they are not straight, and they help to avoid bubbles and creases. For machine application roll labels are usually needed - these are available in bopp, paper, and silver mylar. Some people like the feel of paper labels, but keep in mind while they may be cheaper, they are less forgiving if you apply them wrong, and may require timely cleanup before re-application if you need to remove them. 
 

Can product labels be custom shaped?

Yes. Our full range of product labels are cut to shape based on your order, so whether you need standard shapes such as circles, squares and rectangles, or custom shapes, it can be achieved using our kiss cutting, die cutting or dieless cutting methods to suit the label type and quantity.
 

What is the difference between kiss cut and die cut labels?

Kiss cut labels are cut through the label layer while staying on a backing sheet, making them easy to peel. Die cut labels are cut to the final outer shape. Kiss cut labels are often easier to handle, and the protective backing sheet prevents the edges of the product labels / stickers being damaged.
 

Do you print clear product labels?

Yes. Clear vinyl labels are available for glass, clear packaging and premium minimalist branding. White ink is recommended when the design is sitting on a colour other than white, and you want the colours to stand out rather than blend with the background colour.
 

Do you print candle labels?

Yes. We print candle labels for many brands. Both candle labels and candle warning labels are available. The best material depends on the candle container, finish, handling requirements and whether the label is decorative, instructional or compliance-related. The most popular candle label stocks are matt air-release vinyl labels and paper labels with velvet laminate and foil.
 

Do I need print-ready artwork?
