Foil Square & Rectangle Business Cards
Designed to be noticed. Made to be kept.
Foil business cards are chosen when a standard card isn’t enough. The metallic finish catches light, adds texture, and immediately signals quality — helping your card stand out in moments where first impressions matter.
Our foil square and rectangle business cards are used by professionals who want their brand to feel intentional, premium, and memorable, without over-designing or over-explaining.
When Foil Business Cards Make Sense
Foil isn’t for every card — and that’s exactly why it works when used deliberately.
Common real-world uses include:
Luxury & Property Brands
Real estate agents and high-end retailers often use gold foil to convey value, trust, and professionalism in competitive environments where perception matters.
Event & Client-Facing Professionals
Wedding planners, stylists, consultants, and event managers choose rose gold foil for warm, refined first impressions that align with premium service expectations.
Creative Industries
Designers, photographers, and studios use silver foil to reflect attention to detail and craft — reinforcing creative credibility without adding visual clutter.
Corporate & Executive Networking
Executives and senior professionals use foil accents to ensure their card stands out during conferences, boardroom introductions, and high-level meetings.
These aren’t trends — they’re practical decisions based on how people respond to tactile, high-contrast print.
How Foil Is Commonly Used (Practical Examples)
Foil works best when it supports the hierarchy of your design, not when it overwhelms it.
Popular, proven applications include:
- Foil applied to logos to reinforce brand recognition the moment the card is handed over
- Foil-only design elements placed on solid or printed backgrounds to create a clear, confident focal point
- Foil accents or graphic elements that express your brand’s personality and visual tone
- Foil in solid bars or panels to draw attention to names, roles, or key product details at a glance
Foil is most effective when used solely or selectively — drawing attention to what matters first.
Square vs Rectangle: Choosing the Right Format
Rectangle business cards
- Familiar, professional, widely expected
- Ideal for corporate, service, and referral-based use
Square business cards
- Less common, more distinctive
- Often chosen by creative, boutique, and lifestyle brands
Both formats support foil equally well. The difference is how bold you want the first impression to feel.

Foil Options Available
Foil colours and finishes are selected for clarity, contrast, and durability.
Common choices include:
- Gold foil
- Silver foil
- Rose gold foil
- Holographic foil
- Pink Foil – hot and baby pink
- Bright Colours like Blue, Green, Purple
Foil is applied only to designated areas and does not print like ink. Artwork setup matters for clean results, and with up to 2mm movement possible, tight registration between colour and foil elements is not possible.

Common Questions Before Ordering
Will foil make my card harder to read?
Not when artwork is set up correctly. Foil should highlight, not replace essential information. Keep in mind that foil reflects the colours around it, so gold on black without other colours around it may blend and be hard to read in certain lights and angles.
Can foil be used on small text?
Foil works best on bold elements. Very fine text may lose definition and is not recommended.
Does foil feel raised?
Foil has a subtle texture difference, but it is primarily a visual and light-reflective finish.
Is foil suitable for everyday use?
Yes. Foil business cards are commonly used for daily networking, client meetings, and events.
Do I need special artwork?
Yes. Foil elements must be supplied as vector shapes and set up correctly for production.
