Large Format Digital Print Operator & Finisher

Same Day Printing is an award winning Australian owned and operated small business located in the Western suburbs of Melbourne and we're looking for a full-time large format digital print operator to join our team.

We're looking for someone who has large format printing experience and is reliable, professional, punctual, self-motivated, and thrives on meeting deadlines and can work as an individual as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily operation & maintenance of wide-format including HP Latex, EpsonSureColour & Roland Ecosolvent printers.
  • Operate Australia's First Summa Twin Flow Solution including a flatbed F1621.
  • Assist with production processes including printing, trimming, mounting, finishing, packaging and handwork as necessary.
  • Helping to manage and Scheduling daily orders to ensure production time frames are met.
  • Working with our graphic designers to ensure files are suitable and ready for print.
  • Liaising with the production manager and other team members to ensure quality customer service.
  • Helping maintain stock levels of media, inks, tools and packaging materials to meet demand.
  • Keeping production areas neat, tidy and organised.
  • Dispatching orders and liaising with logistics companies.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • 1+ years of work experience in operating wide format digital printers.
  • Knowledge of large format print finishing techniques and processes including profile cutting, laminating, board mounting, trimming and pop-up banner production.
  • Experience with Onyx RIP software not essential but beneficial.
  • Experience with Summa Flatbed cutter not essential but beneficial.
  • Have a strong pride in your work with expert attention to detail.
  • Enjoy working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great team player with the ability to work independently.

You will require a current drivers license as sometimes you may be required to drive a company car to pick-up stock.

Remuneration will be dependent on experience and skills.
